49er’s Gold Rush is an American Sports Bar concept that was established 25 years ago in the UAE. As the saloon moved to Le Méridien Abu Dhabi hotel, the venue needed a complete lighting and sound solution.
The lighting and sound system was required to blend in aesthetically with the Wild West saloon style décor. Therefore, all speakers were discreetly positioned and the FD32 6m x 8 Trussing system, from Eurotruss, above the dance floor was powder coated to match the wooden ceiling.
The venue has a stage that regularly hosts a band and DJ. For this, Visiotek 3m x 2m LED screen PH3.91 was installed on the back wall. Two 5W RGB laser show systems COMET 5000 with scanners on each side of the screen were integrated to provide a wide variety of effects.
The Lighting on the Stage and Dance floor consisted of a variety of fixtures from Cyclops lighting: twelve robust XL 18 RGBW LED Pars, four SPARKLY WASH 19 RGBW rapid LED wash moving head, and eight LEDE 100B 100W compact LED beam moving head.
For lighting enhancement and aerial effects, Antari silent haze machine HZ-500 was added.
For DMX signal distribution, a SPR 328 DMX Splitter was rack mounted.
For lighting control, Avolites T1 Titan Software with an all in one Touch screen Computer was used.
The audio system was split into three zones: The Main dancefloor, Dining and Darts, and Video Game areas. It included a mix of six DAS Audio Artec 510 passive two-way speakers, four Artec 322S compact band-reflex subwoofers, six Artec 508 passive 300W 8” 2-way full-range woofers, Artec-508A Powered Bi-Amped 360W 8” two-way full range for DJ monitor, four Action-M512A powered 500W 12” stage monitors, one PA-1500, one PA-4000, and four PA-2700 power amplifiers, and one DSP-2040 fully programmable DSP.
For sound control, Symetrix Jupiter 8 featuring an easy to use digital signal processor along with ARC-2e wall mount remote panel were selected.
