Clap Dubai

Located on the rooftop of DIFC, Clap Dubai combines authenticity with innovation to create a sensory Japanese dining experience.

The venue features 4 spaces: an indoor dining room, an outdoor dining terrace, an outdoor lounge, and the club, Ongaku.

The client had multiple requirements for its new sound system. K-array audio solutions fulfilled them all: discreet design, high-power, reliability, and of course, superior sound quality.

To cover the indoor dining area, 6 x KP52 passive speakers, 2 x KMT18P subwoofers, and 2 x KMT12P ultra-light passive subs were incorporated. Meanwhile, on the terrace, 14 x KK52 weatherproof speakers paired with 7 x KMT12P subs were installed.
In the indoor club, 5 x KF26 compact speakers, 4 x KX12 ultra-slim speakers, 3 x KMT18P subs, and 2 x KMT12P subs were installed while 5 x KP52 speakers and 4 x KMT12P subs were added to the outdoor club.
For the bar, 6 x KP52 were complemented with 2 x KMT18P subs.
A monitor system dedicated to each of the 2 DJ sets comprised 2 x KF210 monitors and 1 x KMT12 active subwoofers each, running on Blustream’ D811AU Dante units.
For the main entrance, toilets, and elevators, CL 8T speakers by DAS Audio were placed into the ceiling.

Inspired by Tokyo’s nightlife, the client wanted the bar covered with LED displays. For that, Procom created a custom circular bar with LED screens by Visiotek. 234 x outdoor panels were installed with a 3.9mm pixel pitch. The bar can be divided in half so that one half sits on the inside club, while the other half on the outer lounge. In addition, each part can be controlled individually offering full flexibility. All the LED screens were controlled by Avolites’ Ai Q3 media server. In order to provide intuitive control for the staff, Procom built a fully-customized all-in-one Symetrix control interface on an iPad. It provides full control of LED displays, sound sources, sound levels, and zoning. Symetrix’ Prism 12×12 digital signal processor, 1 x  control server, and 3 x xControls were connected to the app, allowing for the audiovisual control of the whole venue from the simple click of a button.
