The Meat Company is an African steakhouse chain with a popular outlet in Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah. The venue has recently reopened with a change to its look. As part of the upgrade, Procom Middle East installed a new audio system for BGM, DJ and band use, using products by K-array and Symetrix.
The interior makeover was intended to complement the restaurant’s stunning views of the Madinat’s blue waters and the Burj Al Arab. The speaker, therefore, had to be ‘visually compatible’ with the luxurious design yet still suitable for fine dining purposes. Six Kobra line array cabinets were selected due to their linear design, which offered even sound dispersion across the dining areas without disturbing customers seated close to the speakers. They were paired with four KMT12 subwoofers.
As the bar area required more power, the team chose to install four KX12 loudspeakers and KMT21 subwoofers due to their high SPL which better suits live band performances. For the outdoor areas, Procom installed eight Domino-KF26s. The entire solution was powered by two KA24s and a single KA14 amplifier and also included a Symetrix Jupiter 8 audio processor with two arc-2e wall-mounted remote controls that enable a wireless control network via the Symetrix Arc Web platform.
