CLYMB

CLYMB is the world’s ultimate adventure hub revolutionizing indoor skydiving and climbing. Situated on Yas Island Abu Dhabi, it houses the world’s biggest indoor skydiving flight chamber, and the region’s tallest indoor climbing wall.

As one of the tallest building facades on YAS Island, the CLYMB building required a full architectural lighting solution for both color wash and color mapping for special events. An array of 22 x Flash 288 LED washes by Cyclops Lighting were installed on ground level, illuminating the building with rich and uniform color mixing. Flash 288 is equipped with 88 x 20 watts RGBW LEDs. A magnetic diffuser filter is included with the fixture, providing various beam angles. It is wireless control ready with the built-in wireless DMX receiver by Wireless Solutions Sweden.

All the lighting fixtures were connected to Madrix Aura via W-DMX using 4 x Whitebox F-2 G5 transceivers. Madrix Aura standalone lighting controller controls the wash effect, changes colors during the week, and schedules the effect so that it turns on and off automatically. Looks for all the holiday events were also programmed, including UAE national day. 

Along with this, a pixel mapped wash effect was created in the tunnel leading from Yas Mall to CLYMB utilizing 16 x CPX 416OB wash bars and 1x Madrix Aura.
