Xstrike

Xstrike is an indoor action-packed entertainment destination located in the heart of Dubai and offers a completely new way to experience the adrenaline-pumping atmosphere of a real-life battlefield.

Procom was brought on board to help in the design and implementation of a complete lighting and sound effects package that played a critical role in the environmental gaming simulations.

The compound features 2 main gaming areas: Haven Link and Havoc City. Both of these were fitted out with independent and fully integrated technical packages, linked to 2 main control rooms.

For lighting, a total of 171 x LED Pars were integrated to cover both gaming areas. 135 x XL 18, compact yet powerful RGBW LED PARS and 39 x robust XL 30, powerful 30×10 RGBW LED PARs both from Cyclops Lighting.

For atmospheric effects, 1 x Antari haze machine HZ-350 with built-in LCD control panel was added in each zone, while the incorporation of 4 x Antari Z-1020 vertical DMX-controlled fog machines and 4 x M-7 RGBA  fog machines were used for dramatic and jump effects.

The systems operated on a DMX signal distribution network featuring 2 x Avolites DMX splitter rack-mounted in each area.

The audio system was designed using 15 x DAS Audio OVI-12 passive 12” speakers with pendant and wall mounting hardware and 6 x Artec-S15 passive 15” subwoofers were powered with 7 x PA-2700 silent amplifiers.

2 x Symetrix Jupiter 4 special purpose DSP and gooseneck microphones were supplied for the control rooms.

For the main entrance Lobby, Shop and Cafeteria, 12 x DAS Audio ARCO 24T full-range speakers were powered with IA-1004 4 channel amplifier.

The lighting and sound worked seamlessly with the iCombat Laser-targeting software.
