BeatX, an innovative Fitness Studio that offers the most technologically advanced training experience, is now open in Downtown Dubai. The venue includes a main gym with the latest technology equipment and a CrossFit studio for high-intensity workouts.
Procom was brought on board to provide a complete AV solution, including audio, lighting, video, acoustical consultation, and control.
The venue required an audio system that delivers high-quality, powerful sound. For this, 4 x KF26 ultra-compact, passive full-range speakers by K-array were installed in the main gym. With effective low-frequency response, the use of these units reduced the need for additional subwoofers within the space. The CrossFit studio required audio levels in the range of 105Db. Therefore, 4 x KP52 variable beam speakers were used, complemented with 2 x KMT18P high-performance subwoofers. Both rooms are driven by 2 x KA84 all-in-one amplifiers. DAS Audio’ 12 x CL 8-T ceiling speakers, 2 x Arco 24T speakers, and 1 x PA-500 stereo amplifier were integrated into the corridors and toilets.
In order to create an immersive lighting effect with a 360° lighting view, 16 x 3D LED tubes by Cyclops Lighting were strategically installed across the corridor and studio. Lighting control was made easy with 1 x Madrix Luna 16 DMX port network node along with Madrix 5 Software Basic Key.
For seamless video signal distribution across the venue, a Video Over IP system was configured using 2 x IP200UHD-TX transmitters, 2 x IP200UHD-RX receivers, and 1 x ACM200 multicast advanced control module by Blusteam.
The system is accessible and controlled from a single touchpoint that is quick and easy to use. The control system is centralized around an all-in-one Symetrix control interface on an iPad. Symetrix Prism 8×8 digital signal processor, 1 x control server, and xControl were connected to the app, allowing for full AV control of the venue.
