Emirates Hills villa is not just any villa in Dubai. Not only does it feature a gym, spa, and cinema, but also a full-fledged entertainment lounge that can host more than 100 people. Procom partnered with Auratech to provide a complete audiovisual solution to bring the basement lounge to life.
K-array was the sound system of choice, as it delivers quality sound and blends in perfectly with the lounge’s decor. 4 x KX12 ultra-slim co-axial point source speakers were ceiling-fixed above the dance floor, 4 x KP52 slim line array speakers were wall-mounted on each of the venue’s columns, and 2 from each of KMT21P and KMT18P ultra-light passive subwoofers were discreetly placed near the bar. The sound system was powered by KA84 and KA24 four-channel amplifiers, which were fitted alongside a Symetrix’ Jupiter 12 digital signal processor with ARC-2e wall-mounted remote control. Pioneer DDJ-SZ2 4-channel Serato controller was added for a decked-up DJ station.
In terms of lighting and effects, 4 x CPX 118OP UV LED Pars and 8 x LEDE200S moving head LED spots by Cyclops Lighting were mounted on FD34 circular truss from Eurotruss. The extremely powerful Comet 5000 RGB laser show system with scanner and built-in patterns was added for a wide variety of effects and graphics. For the main control of the lighting system, Avolites’ Titan T2 two-universe dongle was selected. Antari’ HZ-400 haze machine was also incorporated to enhance lighting effects.
