Procom Middle East – over 120 attendees for the Eurotruss Academy

Procom Middle East and Eurotruss proudly launched the first edition of the Eurotruss academy worldwide at Procom’s new training center at the Silicon Oasis, Dubai, on the 4^th and 5^th of November. The ultimate aim of the Eurotruss Academy was that all participants will walk out of the door with more knowledge and understanding of the aluminum truss science and to embrace the Eurotruss phrase: “the more you know, the less you settle” The seminar tackled several topics on both days such as: • STRUCTURES: ‘Truss ABC & Roof Structures’ • STAGING: ‘Eurotruss Stage decks’ • EVENT GEAR: ‘Eurotruss Lifters & Barriers’ • SAFETY: ‘Rigging Gear & Load Cases’ All the topics were handled by Eurotruss’s CEO &Founder Martin Kuyper, sales Director Frank Schrage and Technical Manager Hank Tiekstra to provide Technical Training for using and applying load cases, load-bearing tools (software) and the basic understanding of passive and dynamic forces to manage rigging plots and create safe setups and work environment. In addition The academy also featured a presentation by the Head of Production & Rigging of the Eurovision Song Contest: Ola Melzig performed a seminar talking about his experiences with Eurotruss during his impressive career Over 120 participants, from the production industry and professional venues, took advantage of this unprecedented seminar which was in the opinion of many, “a huge success”. For Martin Kuyper, “the academy was a two way communication channel between the participants and myself, I have learned a lot from their feedback and contribution.” As for the CEO and founder of Procom Middle East Raja Harfouche: “the success of the Academy is the confirmation of the leading status of Eurotruss in the Middle East.” The participants left confident of the knowledge they gained and the new connections they created.
