Procom Middle East hosted the first edition of the Avolites Academy outside the UK at Procom’s new training center at Dubai Silicon Oasis in two consecutive weeks, 15-16 September (for the foundation course) and 22-23 September (for the mastery course)
The academy is based on a strict curriculum developed and approved by Avolites. It offers the opportunity to obtain worldwide Avolites approved certification and recognition in operating and programming the consoles.
It also offers the opportunity to be certified or accredited as a recommended programmer on the Avolites website.
The academy covers:
At the foundation level, the course works through everything the attendees need to know to build a show file from scratch on the Titan range of consoles. From patching fixtures into the console through recording playbacks, palettes and some of the effects engines that are built into Titan. This level also covers cues lists, which is used for everything from corporate to circus, and theatre to gigs.
At the mastery course level, more advanced programming options and set up available already within Titan are covered. As well as networking this course covers, ways to speed and aid programming. External triggering and working with timecode.
The participants are limited to maximum 6, each one working with an Avolites console linked to a capture visualization. This allows a hands-on practical approach to the concepts covered and a learning environment allowing for experience sharing and questions
